Pizzeria Regina nothing special

WOW, so many reviews. A friend of mine invited me at Reginas' pizzeria. He actually saw them on Phanthom Gourmet and the Phanthom gave them good reviews. So he wanted to check out their pizzas. He was driving, it took us a long time to find the restaurant, . It was so hidden with all the little streets of the North End. We finally found them, the place looked so small. There was a small entrance. The place was so small, packed and very loud. The staff is not diverse at all it's all white. The customers are also all whites. We got a cheese pizza. Me and my friend were not impressed. The taste was ok but nothing yummy like the Phanthom said. It's was very greasy, the pizza did not look nice and it was a messy pizza. Customer service was not all that either Truereview here to tell you the truth

A slice of tradition

Regina's has been lauded by almost everyone as having possibly the best pizza in Boston. I have to agree. I had their Original North End recipe pie as well as the Pollo Regina...one seemed like the staple and one, a house signature. It was awesome. The Pollo Regina had the most delicious ricotta cheese I've ever tasted. It was so fresh and creamy. And on every booth there is a bottle of spiced olive oil, parmesian cheese, hot pepper flakes, oregano, anything you could imagine possibly necessary for a slice of pizza. The crowd in this North End location was charming too. A few of the elders sat at the bar, where they serve bottles of Ballantine Ale!!! The jukebox has Italian classics from Sinatra to Dean Martin. It's a great pizza and a great experience. And wandering around the North End afterward in search of pastries is reason enough to make the trip.

delicious pizza!! This is a very small place but it is very popular. we went in the middle of the day and it was not busy. this is your classic pizza joint. there is no parking. it is pretty small. they do not take credit cards at all. i did not find the staff friendly but strangely enough it adds to the charm of this restaurant!

Go early and get ready..

Located on a quaint, hidden corner in the North End of Boston, this historic and well-known hole is about the best pizza you will find anywhere. Yeah, it's one of those restaurants where they only serve one menu item, but they do it right. Man, do they ever. It's very small inside, about a dozen tables, and although the weather can be brutal, there always seems to be a line of people waiting just to get inside. Once inside, you realize from the dated pictures on the wall that this place looks the same as when it was serving Boston's best pizza in the 1800s. Only the help has changed. You won't see a fancy menu here.. only a greasy listing of beer and pizza toppings. Short and simple, nothing fancy. There's the usual selection of meats, veggies and cheeses for toppings and your pizza can be doughy, medium or burn: your choice. They warn you that everything is made fresh, so if it's crowded you might have to wait a while. However, on a recent (and very crowded) Saturday night visit, the wait for our pizza was less than 10 minutes.. not bad.We managed to get a booth near the kitchen window where we were tortured with the smells of diner's delights until our order hit the window. We saw several different varieties of Pizzeria Regina's creations, but my favorite is still thin-crust cheese pizza. It's basic, but so good! It makes you wonder how Pizzeria Regina gets it right and everyone else doesn't.
