Ordered flowers got a plant instead

Posted by edsoltysiak on 10/30/2008

Ordered flowers for our granddaughters first birthday in Boston, instead she received a jade plant!!! After an e-mail got a phone call later telling us the plant will have more memory (don't think so). The best they were willing to do was an exchange (next day). Not would doing business with. For anyone out there looking for a knowledgeable florist who will go out of their way to help you with selecting specific colors, sizes, and types of flowers, this is the place for you. I visited Boston Rose after browsing through 4 other relatively unhelpful florist shops. My dilemma has been planning a wedding long distance and trying to find coordinating rose types and colors in Boston because I am unable to schedule another appointment with the TN florist before the wedding. Anyways, the person who helped me at Boston Rose was very kind and told me the names of roses I was looking at. When I asked about other roses I had seen online, he said he didn't have them that day, but that he would hand select them in my color palette from the next day's shipment so I could compare colors and sizes and decide what I liked, and he suggested roses he thought would combine well. He offered all of this knowing that I wasn't even ordering from them!! They're just a friendly, helpful operation. With customer service like that, I'm going back to them for all my future flower needs.

Avoid this flower shop!!!

This floral shop called the recipient of the flowers on her birthday and told her that flowers would be delivered, who they were being delivered from, but needed the address of the recipient. The floral shop actually made the receiver of her gift work for them and called her at work for this. Also, when you call, you're directed to someone's mother out in California who doesn't know the Boston area (which may explain why a detailed explanation of where One Financial is was needed by the gift receiver). When the gift-giver called to complain about the service, she was yelled at and was told that the business calls the gift receiver "all the time" to get details of where they are located in Boston.

Beautiful fresh flowers and great staff!!

This is my favorite flower shop in Boston! They have the most interesting and exotic flowers. They have the nicest and most accomidating staff that is extremely knowledgable. I have never been disappointed!
