Nine major animal exhibits contain over 240 species of animals at the Franklin Park Zoo. Included at the zoo is the African habitat "Kalahari Kingdom," featuring majestic lions, "Butterfly Landing," with more than 1,000 butterflies, and "Franklin Farm," a children's petting zoo with goats and sheep. The zoo is located in the 527-acre Franklin Park, which also contains the 18-hole William Divine Golf Course, in the historic Roxbury and Jamaica Plain neighborhoods in south Boston.
