Forest Hills Cemetery was created in the mid-1800s to provide a wondrous park-like environment to lay to rest family and friends. It is still an active burial ground and frequented by many visitors, who come as much to visit the deceased as to view its beautifully maintained gardens and nationally renowned collection of memorial sculpture. The Cemetery lies on 275 acres next to the William Devine Golf Course, about five miles south of downtown.
